What age can my child start gymnastics?

We welcome children from age 3 upwards. Our Little Stars class is designed specifically for ages 3–6, with activities tailored to young children's development, coordination, and confidence. Junior Stars is for ages 6 and above.

What is the difference between Little Stars and Junior Stars?

Little Stars (ages 3–6) focuses on fun, movement, and building foundational skills in a playful, nurturing environment. Junior Stars (ages 6+) introduces more structured gymnastics skills — including beam, bars, vault, and floor — with a focus on individual progression.

Do children need any prior experience?

Not at all! All our classes welcome complete beginners. Our coaches assess each child individually and tailor the session to their current ability and confidence level. Every child starts somewhere — and we love first-timers.

How many children are in each class?

We keep class sizes small to ensure every child gets individual attention. Typically no more than 8–10 children per coach, so your child will never get lost in a crowd.

How do I book a class?

You can book online through our Book Now page. Simply choose your preferred venue, select a class and time slot, and complete the registration. You'll receive a confirmation email with all the details.

Can we try a class before committing?

Absolutely! We offer taster sessions so your child can experience a class before you sign up for a full term. Get in touch or book through our Book Now page and select the taster option.

How much do classes cost?

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Classes cancelled with sufficient notice can be rescheduled or credited. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

Are your coaches qualified?

Yes — all our coaches hold British Gymnastics qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) and are fully DBS checked. They also hold paediatric first aid certificates and receive regular safeguarding training.

Is gymnastics safe for young children?

Gymnastics is one of the safest sports for children when taught correctly. We use age-appropriate progressions, professional-grade safety equipment, foam pits, crash mats, and padded floors. Safety is our absolute priority.

Are parents allowed to watch?

Yes! All our venues have parent viewing galleries so you can watch your child's progress. We find children often perform better knowing their parents are watching — and parents love seeing the smiles!

Question 12

What should my child wear?

Children should wear comfortable, stretchy clothing — a leotard, shorts, or leggings and a fitted top work well. No loose jewellery, zips, or buttons. Hair should be tied back. Gymnastics is done in bare feet or gymnastics socks.

What are the holiday camps?

Our holiday camps are intensive multi-day gymnastics sessions held during school holidays. They're a brilliant way for children to develop their skills quickly, make new friends, and have a fantastic time. Our next camp runs 21–23 July 2026, 10am–1pm daily.

Who can attend a holiday camp?

Holiday camps are open to all children aged 3 and above, regardless of experience. We group children by age and ability so everyone gets the most out of the sessions.

Do I need to book in advance for holiday camps?
